The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be holding a public hearing on the South Coast Rail Wednesday, May 4, at 7 p.m. For background information on the project go to www.mass.gov/southcoasttrail. Printed copies are available in the libraries in South Coast cities and towns. Registration begins at 6 p.m., MassDot will hold an open house at 5:30 p.m. There will be also be a meeting Wednesday, May 5, at 7 p.m. at the Keith Middle School, 225 Hathaway Blvd., New Bedford.
