Even the Mansfield Police Department Gets IRS Scam Calls
A recent caller to the police department claimed they would be placed under arrest for not paying their taxes

Mansfield, MA β Tax season may be over but it doesn't mean the end of fake IRS calls, even for the police department.
Tuesday, the Mansfield Police Department revealed that they received a call from a man claiming to be from the IRS and that the department failed to pay their taxes."
"His stern voice was concerning. We, the Town of Mansfield Police Department, had not paid our taxes and this gentleman had the unfortunate task of informing us that someone would be responding to place me under arrest for our delinquency," the department wrote on Facebook.

The caller hung up once the he was informed that he called a police department.
