The FBI recently released its annual <a href="https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2014/crime-in-the-u.s.-2014/tables/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">"Crime in the United States" report</a>, which includes information about Mansfield.According to the report, Mansfield saw 42 violent crimes in 2014. Violent crime includes offenses involving force or the threat of force: murder and non-negligent manslaughter, rape, robbery and aggravated assault, according to the FBI.There were 11 reported rapes, four robberies, and 27 aggravated assaults.Other crime stats for Mansfield include 174 larcenies, 64 burglaries, seven motor vehicle thefts, and two cases of arson.Nationally, violent crime decreased nationally last year by 0.2 percent from 2013, according to the report.
