Foxborough Man Charged with OUI After Speeding Through Mansfield
Police say an off-duty officer alerted police to an erratic vehicle allegedly driven by Mark Brancato.

MANSFIELD, MA — A Foxborough man allegedly driving through Mansfield while drunk Monday night was taken into custody thanks to an off-duty police officer.
Mark Brancato, 56, was arraigned Tuesday in Attleboro District Court and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, driving to endanger, speeding, and a marked lanes violation.
The Sun Chronicle reports that Sgt. Michael Ellsworth observed a vehicle two cars ahead of him stopped at the intersection of Route 106 and Copeland Drive. First he allegedly saw the driver open the door and pour out what appeared to be beer and then the car didn't move during a green light.
