Great Duck Race Kicks Off Summer in Mansfield
Residents gathered for the annual race of rubber ducks at Fulton Pond.

You know it’s summer in Mansfield when it’s time for the Great Duck Race.
Wednesday evening, residents gathered at Fulton Pond to watch several buckets full of rubber ducks float down the stream to the beginning of Kingman Pond.

Prizes were given to the owners of the first 100 ducks to cross the finish line.
The event is used as a kickoff for the town’s slate of summer activities including “Movie Under the Stars,” ”Arts in the Park,” and “Concert on the Common.”

After the event, Paddington Bear was shown on the South Common.
