Great Mansfield Cleanup Set for April 28

The deadline for registering for this year's Great Mansfield Cleanup is April 20.

From Keep Mansfield Beautiful: The official start of spring is less than two weeks away, which means that now is the time for volunteers to register to volunteer for the 11th annual Great Mansfield Cleanup.

This year’s cleanup takes place on Saturday, April 28 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., rain or shine, followed by a celebration lunch for volunteers at the Xfinity Center. At last year’s cleanup, nearly 600 volunteers, including groups from the boy scouts, girl scouts, local churches, community groups, and businesses, removed litter from roadsides, parks, and school grounds.

“The recent nor’easter resulted in many overturned trash and recycling barrels all over Mansfield.” said Nancy Wall, executive director of Keep Mansfield Beautiful. “That means there is even more litter that needs to be cleaned up this spring. We’re counting on Mansfield residents, businesses, and community groups to help out on April 28.”
