2013 marks the fifth year of Mayflower Brewing Co. in Plymouth, MA. It was started by 10th great grandson of John Alden, and in my opinion, he wouldn't be disappointed.
Mayflower is one of my favorite Massachusetts Breweries. It constantly offers great beers, from their 4 staples to their seasonal brews, they always impress. Their core offerings include a Pale Ale, an IPA (India Pale Ale), A Golden Ale (Pilsner) and a Porter. They are all delicious! Their seasonals include various ales but my absolute favorite is the Winter Oatmeal Stout. It is hands down my favorite stout and I become very sad when it is no longer available. Just this year, my wife took my last bottle and used it to make a beer bread. Granted, the bread was amazing, but it was my last stout of the season!! I was heart-broken!
Tonight, as I type this, I am enjoying their 5th Anniversary Ale. It is a Double IPA with a ton of flavor. I was very excited when I saw this. "A Mayflower I haven't had yet? Yes, Please!" It is delicious!
Bottom line... If you see any of their beers, give them a try. They can be found at either Wines & More or Dubs's Liquors in Mansfield.
Cheers Mayflower... To many more years of great beer!
