How Much Crime Took Place in Mansfield During December?
The Mansfield Police Department recently released crime stats for the last month of 2015.

Police in Mansfield responded to 65 alarms, 47 accidents, and conducted 271 traffic stops during the month of December.
The numbers come from the Mansfield Police Department, who recently released the statistics.
Of the 65 alarms, 72 percent were commercial while 28 percent were residential.

For accidents, Tuesdays and Wednesdays saw the highest amount of crashes with 26 percent each. Four of the crashes warranted reports, 36 included property damage, eight had injuries, and two of the crashes were alcohol-related.
Of the 271 traffic stops, 180 resulted in citations and in 91, the driver received a verbal warning.

Incidents of note include 16 cases of larceny and shoplifting, one building break-in, and three motor vehicle break-ins. Additionally, there were four incidents of malicious destruction, five disturbances, and nine assault and batteries.
During the month, 44 arrests were made, 25 percent of which were on site, 55 percent were summons, and 20 percent were warrant arrests. 52 percent of those arrested were not Mansfield residents while 43 percent lived in town. Five percent were unspecified.
Overall, 2,576 calls were dispatched, there were 224 EMS calls and officers wrote 113 incident reports.
