How Much Crime Took Place in Mansfield in March?

The following crime statistics for March 2016 are from the Mansfield Police Department. All numbers have been rounded to the nearest whole number.

Alarms

• 94 alarms, 60 percent commercial and 40 percent were residential.

911 Hang-Ups:

• Officers responded to 18,911 hang-ups.

Accidents:

• Officers responded to 65 accidents, a 23% increase from February. There was an average of approximately two accidents per day with 25 percent of accidents occurring on Fridays, followed by Wednesdays with 23 percent.
• Saturdays and Sundays had the lowest occurrence of crashes with 5 and 6 percent
• On Wednesdays, 47 percent of crashes occurred between 3-6 p.m.

Motor Vehicle Stops:

• There were 245 motor vehicle stops, 179 citations, and 66 were verbal warnings.

Incidents:

• Two reported of Robberies, one Armed (Sunoco) and one Unarmed (CVS).
• Two incidents of breaking and entering and two vehicle break-ins.
• 10 reports of larceny, four reports of shoplifting, one report of receiving stolen property, and two reports of identity fraud.
• Three incidents of malicious destruction, one of which was graffiti.
• Six incidents of simple assault, four incidents of harassment, and four incidents of intimidation.

CAD Calls:

• CAD Calls in March increased by 27% when compared to February.

EMS:

• There were 204 EMS calls in March.

Arrests:

• 58 arrests were made. 19 percent were arrests made on-site, 66 percent were summons, and 32 percent were warrant arrests.
• 40 percent of those arrested were non-residents and 55 percent were residents of Mansfield. Three were listed as unknown.

• In March, officers wrote 153 incident reports.
