Incoming Mansfield Superintendent Gets $170,000 Contract

The Mansfield School Committee approved the new contract for Teresa Murphy.

MANSFIELD, MA — Teresa Murphy is officially Mansfield's next superintendent for the next three years.

Tuesday night, the school committee approved Murphy's contract, which includes a $170,000 salary, an increase over current schools chief Zeff Gianetti's yearly salary of $163,000, according to the Sun Chronicle.

Murphy, who currently serves as the assistant superintendent, was named Gianetti's successor last month pending successful contract negotiations. She was the only candidate in the internal search for the opening.
