Interest High in Mansfield Superintendent Search

The Mansfield School Committee hopes to fill the opening with an internal candidate.

MANSFIELD, MA — Local residents are showing interest in the search to find Mansfield's next superintendent of schools.

A recent survey for the search brought in 400 responses from residents, the Sun Chronicle reported. The Mansfield School Committee said the survey was designed to see what residents want in a new superintendent.

Superintendent Zeff Gianetti plans on retiring at the end of the school year. The committee recently voted to prioritize internal candidates before looking outside the school district. Internal applications are due Nov. 9 with interviews to take place on Nov. 16.
