Large Fuel Spill Closes Mansfield Avenue
The street was shut down to traffic for six hours Tuesday.

MANSFIELD, MA - A 45-gallon diesel fuel spill shut down Mansfield Avenue for about six hours Tuesday.
At 9:40 a.m., a truck towing the cab of a tractor-trailer truck hit three parked cars, ripping a hole in the diesel gas tank of the cab, according to the Sun Chronicle.
The gas remained on the street and did not go into any storm drains or soil. Firefighters were on the scene for about two hours cleaning the gas before a private hazardous waste cleanup contractor from Franklin continued the effort.
