Lincoln Street Named a Public Way

After weeks of discussion and the approval of the Annual Town Meeting, Lincoln Road is a public way.

The road will be part of Lincoln Estates, a new subdivision off of Branch Street, according to the Sun Chronicle, but the path to the vote wasn’t easy.

Town officials had stated their desire to place speed bumps in the road to force cars to slow down to 10 mph, but the speed bumps were too high and could cause damage to vehicles. Town planner Shaun Burke said there are plenty of signs to warn drivers of the bumps.
