Man Convicted Of Attacking Friend Charged With DUI In Mansfield

MANSFIELD, MA — A South Attleboro man on probation for beating a friend unconscious in a Walmart parking lot was arrested Saturday after he drunkenly drove in Mansfield.
Alexander Raposo, 54, was charged with drunken driving, driving to endanger, driving with an open container of alcohol and a license violation. He was arraigned in Attleboro District Court Monday and is being held without bail, the Sun Chronicle Reported.
Raposo was arrested at 1:35 a.m., Saturday on West Street, after his car hit a rock wall and officers found him passed out behind the wheel, police said. Police said they found open containers of alcohol in his Honda CRV.

Raposo is due back in court on March 20.
