Man Hid Face with Hand, Tried to Steal Oxycontin from Mansfield CVS: Police

MANSFIELD, MA - A man attempted to steal prescription drugs from the CVS on Chauncy Street while hiding his face, police said.

At about 7:33 p.m. Sunday evening, a white male wearing jeans, a black t-shirt, dark baseball hat with a red brim and white sneakers walked into the drug store and went straight to the pharmacy, according to the Mansfield Police Department. While his face with his right hand the entire time, the suspect handed the pharmacist a note asking for all the Oxycontin and Gabapentin.

After the pharmacist refuse, the subject took the note back and left through the main entrance towards Chauncey Street.

Police say the subject does not run but walks at a quick pace.
