Man in Mansfield Bank Heist Pleads Guilty to Robbery Charge, Child Porn Possession

George Englehard, 51, faces up to 20 years in prison for the bank robbery charge and up to 10 for possessing child porn.

A man arrested after robbing the Mansfield Bank of America in April 2014 has pleaded guilty to robbery charges in federal court.

George Englehard, 51, who was living in Mansfield at the time of the crime, is scheduled to be sentenced in U.S. District Court in Boston on Dec. 2 according to the Sun Chronicle.

Last year, Englehard was taken into custody by Mansfield police shortly after a heist at Bank of America on North Main Street. Police discovered the man with money spilling out of his waistband along with a black pellet gun. A total of $878 was found.

Previously, he has served time in prison for three bank robberies. He also pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography. During the arrest, police say he attempted to delete images on his cell phone.

Englehard now faces up to 20 years in prison for the bank robbery charge and up to 10 for possessing child porn.
