Mansfield Assistant Superintendent Could be Named New Head of Schools Wednesday
The school committee will interview assistant Superintendent Teresa Murphy Wednesday night.

MANSFIELD, MA — Mansfield's next superintendent of schools could be chosen Wednesday night.
The School Committee will meet Wednesday night at Town Hall at 6 p.m. According to the meeting's agenda, there will be an interview for the superintendent opening followed by a vote to select a candidate.

Committee Chairwoman Kiera O’Neill told the Sun Chronicle that the only internal candidate was assistant Superintendent Teresa Murphy. The candidate was previously the principal at the Jordan-Jackson school.
Schools chief Zeff Gianetti said earlier this year that he intends on retiring at the end of the school year. During the process to find a new superintendent, the committee voted to focus on internal candidates before considering outside applicants.
