Mansfield Boys And Girls Basketball Take Top Seeds in D1 South Tournament

MANSFIELD, MA — It’s tournament time for high school sports in Massachusetts and Mansfield is the team to beat entering the MIAA boys’ and girls’ basketball tournaments.

The Hornets have been awarded the top seed in both Division 1 South tournaments, with the girls getting a bye to the quarterfinals. The girls will open tournament play Match 1 at 6:30 p.m. against the winnner of the Brockton-Attleboro first round match. If the Hornets win, they move on to the semi-finals against the winner of Marshfield vs. Wellesley.

The boys’ first round game will be March 2 at 6:30 p.m. against the winner of the Brockton-Durfee preliminary round game. If the boys win, they move on to a quarterfinal round showdown with the winner of Brookline-Quincy.
