Mansfield Downtown Winter Parking Ban in Effect

Failure to comply with the ban could result in a $15 fine.

MANSFIELD, MA — Until April 30, there will be no overnight parking in the downtown area of Mansfield.

Dec. 1 marks the start of the town's downtown winter parking ban. From midnight to 6 a.m., there is no street parking from Rumford Avenue to Hope Street and from the South Common to the North Common.

The ban is in effect regardless of snow, police say. A snow parking ban would includes every street in town and is only in place during severe storms.

Parking permits for people working and living in the area do not allow for overnight parking in the area.
