Mansfield Field Hockey Earns Top Spot in Division 1 South Tournament, Boys' Soccer Receives 5-Spot

Both soccer teams and the field hockey team will play in the postseason.

Three Mansfield High School athletics teams will play in the postseason starting this week.

In field hockey, No. 1 Mansfield will play the winner of the Duxbury-Medfield preliminary round game on Nov. 6 at 3:30 p.m. The Hornets finished the season with a record of 17-1-0.

In boys’ soccer, the fifth-ranked Kelley-Rex Division champions will face a familiar foe in the 12th-ranked King Philip Warriors on Nov. 5 at 6 p.m. The 11-5-2 Hornets and the Warriors both received a bye to the second round of the tournament.

The girls’ soccer team, who received the 12th seed and has a record of 12-3-3, will travel to No. 5 Bridgewater-Raynham on Nov. 6 for a 2:30 p.m. showdown.

All three teams will compete in the Division 1 South bracket for their sport.
