Mansfield Fire Respond to Bathroom Blaze

Firefighters responded to the blaze Saturday afternoon.

The Mansfield Fire Department is investigating a fire that took place in the bathroom of a Stearns Avenue home Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., crews from Mansfield fire and police arrived at the scene and were able to knock down the fire, containing it to the bathroom.

Capt. William Burgess told the Sun Chronicle that the house was full of smoke when they arrived, but were able to clear the house of smoke and leave the scene after about an hour.
