Mansfield Firefighter Charged With Driving Drunk With Child In Car

ATTLEBORO, MA — A Mansfield firefighter was allegedly drunk when police found him behind the wheel of a vehicle, police said.
James Devine was arrested Friday just after 5 p.m. in Attleboro. He was charged with his second OUI, child endangerment, marked lane violations, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to stop for police. Mansfield town officials confirmed to the Sun Chronicle that Devine is a town firefighter but had no further comment.
Devine was arrested after Mansfield Police told Attleboro Police to be on the lookout for Devine's vehicle. When the car was stopped in Attleboro, officers allegedly found a child inside.
