Mansfield Football Falls to Eventual Champion St. John's Prep in Under Armour Tournament

The Mansfield High football team was eliminated by the eventually champion St. John's Prep in the Under Armour 7 vs. 7 passing tournament at Bishop Fenwick, July 30.
Playing out of the South region, the Hornets lost their first match, 20-14, to Catholic Memorial, but bounced back to defeated host Bishop Fenwick, 40-22, to stay alive in the double-elimination tournament. St. John's Prep then eliminated the Hornets, 26-21, to knock Mansfield out of tourney play.
In the finals, St. John's Prep defeated St. Paul's, 16-14, for the title.
