Mansfield to Look Conduct Internal Search for Next Superintendent

The school district hopes to have a new superintendent well before July 1.

MANSFIELD, MA — Mansfield will look from within for their next superintendent before expanding the search.

Jim Hardy of the Massachusetts Association of Schools told the school committee Tuesday that they didn't have to perform a formal search and selecting an internal candidate is possible, according to the Sun Chronicle. The committee said they would like to like to have a successor for Zeff Gianetti sooner rather than later so they have someone on July 1, the day after he retires.

Hardy said a search could produce a new superintendent by February or March.
