Mansfield Man Accused Of Interfering With Flight Attendant
A Mansfield man's interference caused a flight from St. Louis to Seattle to make an unexpected landing in Nebraska, prosecutors said.
OMAHA, Neb. — A federal grand jury in Nebraska indicted a Mansfield man authorities said interfered with a flight attendant, which caused the pilot to have to make an unscheduled landing. Timothy Columbare was charged with interference with flight crew members.
According to court records, the Southwest Airlines flight Columbare boarded took off March 19, 2017 in St. Louis and was on its Way to Seattle. Prosecutors said when Columbare interfered with the flight attendant, the pilot was forced to make an unscheduled landing in Omaha, Nebraska, the Associated Press reported.
Court documents didn't specify exactly how Columbare interfered, and the U.S. Attorney's office in Omaha declined to provide specifics.
