Mansfield Man Admits to Molesting Two Girls, Gets Jail Time

MANSFIELD, MA — A Mansfield man who admitted to molesting two girls will spend time in jail.

Anthony White, 67, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Attleboro District Court to indecent assault and battery on a child under 14. He was sentenced to a 2 1/2 years in jail and a second 2 1/2 year term was suspended with five years probation and multiple conditions, according to the Sun Chronicle.

White was arrested in January and has been held in jail on bail since. He will receive credit for time served.

The Mansfield man, who knew the girls, admitted to molesting the girls multiple times between 2009 and the most recent New Year's Eve. The investigation started after the parents of one of the victim found a text message from their daughter to her boyfriend.

Upon his release, White will have to wear a GPS device, register as a sex offender, and have no unsupervised contact with anyone under 18.
