
Mansfield, MA — After spending years in the minors, a Mansfield hockey referee is getting called up to the majors.
Linesman Ryan Daisy will join a group of referees that will spend time in the AHL and NHL, according to Scouting the Refs. The referee spent last year in the AHL and was a linesman for the Calder Cup Final.
Daisy got his start as an official as a senior at Catholic Memorial on the advice of his Qualters Middle School coach, according to the Sun Chronicle. In addition to local games,

Daisy has been an official for several junior leagues, the ECHL, and represented the US at the 2015 IIHF Under 18 1A tournament.
Daisy studied at the USA Hockey Officiating Development Program.
