Mansfield Man Charged with Bringing Loaded Gun to McCoy Stadium

Police say the man brought a loaded gun and knife into the home of the Pawtucket Red Sox.

A Mansfield man was arrested Saturday night after police say he brought weapons into McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, R.I.

Scott Guild, 68, was arrested and charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, and weapons other than firearms prohibited according to NBC Providence.

Police were alerted after a female saw Guild allegedly drop a handgun from his waist before picking it up and going to a restroom at the park.

When police arrived, Guild was found in the restroom. He also had a knife on him. Police located the gun and three magazines in his pocket.

While Guild has a license to carry in Massachusetts, he does not have a permit for Rhode Island.
