Mansfield Man Charged with Rape, Indecent Assault

ATTLEBORO, MA - A Mansfield man accused of raping one girl and molesting another was arraigned Tuesday in Attleboro District Court.

Anthony White, 67, was charged with rape and incidence assault according to the Sun Chronicle. He was ordered held on $10,000 bail. If he posts bail, White will be required to wear a GPS device, have no contact with the girls in the case, and no unsupervised contact with anyone under 16.

Charges against White came about after the parents of a 15-year-old girl discovered text messages to her boyfriend, prompting an investigation that led to a second girl.

White’s lawyer, Neal Steingold of Providence said there is no physical evidence of the charges.

White is due back in court on Feb. 22
