Two local men now face drug distribution charges after allegedly selling heroin in Weymouth.
Willie Lyons, 24, of Boston and Steffon Edwards, 27, of Mansfield, were recently arraigned in Quincy District Court and charged with distributing heroin, possession of heroin with the intent of distributing, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, and conspiracy to violate drug law.
According to court records, police were conducting surveillance on Summer Street on July 1 when they saw a vehicle drive up to a home around 9:10 p.m. A woman then left her home, entered the vehicle, and exited the car after about 20 seconds. Believing the interaction to be consistent with a drug deal, police followed the vehicle.

Police eventually pulled over the car at the intersection of Winter and Main Street. Lyons, who was driving, told police that he was coming from a friend’s house but could not produce a name when asked.
After Lyons was asked to step out of the vehicle, police found a bag of cocaine during a pat down. Police also allegedly found cocaine and heroin on Edwards, who was also in the car.
