Mansfield Man Deemed Dangerous Following 4th OUI Charge

MANSFIELD, MA — A Mansfield man recently appeared in court for an OUI charge for the fourth time.

William J. Goyea, 36, appeared in Attleboro District Court Monday and was ordered held following a dangerousness hearing, according to the Sun Chronicle.

Goyea also faces charges of breaking and entering and distributing the peace as well. Police say on Oct. 24, neighbors on Snell Street in Attleboro reported a drunk man in a blue Honda randomly entering homes.

When police located Goyea, he was allegedly slumped in his car with the keys in the ignition with open nip bottles in his vehicle.

Goyea's attorney Paul Whelan, said there is no testimony that Goyea caused harm, that it's been seven years since his last OUI arrest, and that he suffers from back injuries and mental problems.

Goyea is due back in court Nov. 28.
