Mansfield Man Gets Jail Time for Love Triangle Assault

MANSFIELD, MA — A man involved in a physical assault over a woman will spend time in jail.

Andrew Neale of Mansfield was sentenced Thursday in Attleboro District Court to 12 month in jail. He pleaded guilty to assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, according to the Sun Chronicle.

On Aug. 8, Neale got into an argument with another man over a woman and started swinging a cue ball-filled sock at the man before charging at him with a knife. The two were separated by the woman and a third party.

Police were altered to the incident after kids came running out of the home.

The Bristol County District Attorney’s office asked for a 15-month prison sentence.
