Mansfield Man Held in Jail on Copper Theft Charges

A Mansfield man was ordered held in jail after allegedly stealing about $2,000 worth of copper wire from the North Attleboro Electric Department.
Sean M. Hyland, 41, is charged with breaking and entering, larceny and vandalizing property according to the Sun Chronicle. He pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Attleboro District Court.
In July, Hyland and his accomplice Arthur N. Enos Jr., 39 allegedly broke through a chainlink fence and stole copper from a truck. He was arrested after police discovered copper in his car and a receipt from a Bridgewater recycling business showing that the two cashed in about $250 in stolen copper.

Hyland was ordered held on $1,000 cash bail and is due back in court on Jan. 30.
