Mansfield Man Ordered Held On Bail Following Chase

Police say James Abisso drove through stop signs and traffic lights as police attempted to pull him over.

MANSFIELD, MA — A Mansfield man was ordered held on bail during his arraignment in Attleboro District Court.

James Abisso, 35, was ordered held on $1,500 cash bail for charges stemming from a May 28 car chase, according to the Sun Chronicle.

Police say they noticed Abisso in the driveway of a home during a residence check. The suspect allegedly asked for directions to a gas station but dodged question about why he was at the home.

Abisso then left the driveway and drove through stop signs and traffic lights as police attempted to pull him over. He was taken into custody by state police.

Abisso is scheduled to return to court July 27.
