Mansfield Man Pleads Not Guilty to Threatening to Kill President Obama

A Mansfield man who authorities say threatened to kill Barack Obama pleaded innocent Friday in Attleboro District Court.
Andrew O’Keefe, 26, allegedly called the FBI and threatened to kill the president. He also asked for U.S. Secret Service agents to be sent to his apartment because he could, “use the company” according to WHDH.

Last week, police raided O’Keefe’s Mansfield apartment and was taken into custody. During the raid, police seized swords, knives, and an air compressed electronic rifle from his home and car.
O’Keefe, who suffers from bipolar disorder, was not taking his medicine, according to his father. The U.S. Secret Service is also considering pressing federal charges.
