The suspect ran away and hid in a bush, officers said. Then, a police dog caught up and bit him.

MANSFIELD, MA — A man charged with possessing heroin was bitten by a police dog after police said he ran away from officers and hid in a bush.
Andy Georges, 28, of South Easton, was charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and malicious damage. Georges pleaded not guilty Thursday in Attleboro District Court, the Sun Chronicle reported. Rebecca Maghakian, 22, of Mansfield, was with Georges and pleaded not guilty to possession of heroin and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
Around 6:30 p.m., Mansfield Police saw a car parked near the soccer field at Plymouth Street. Police told the Sun Chronicle a man and a woman were parked in the car, and neither had a driver's license. Officers offered Georges and Maghakian a ride, but they declined. Police said they discovered a bag of heroin under the car. Georges ran away, police told the Sun Chronicle, while Maghakian cooperated. A police dog caught up to Georges, who was hiding in a bush and bit him. Police said he was treated at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, suffering minor injuries.
