Mansfield Police Identify 'Daisy Duke' Shoplifter

A Wrentham woman has been identified as the suspect in a Mansfield shoplifting case that was shared on social media last week.

MANSFIELD, MA β€” A Wrentham woman has been identified as the suspect in a Mansfield shoplifting case that was shared on social media last week.

Sheena Persinger, 32, faces charges of shoplifting $100+ by asportation, larceny over $250, operating with a suspended license, and operating a motor vehicle in violation of license class, according to the Mansfield Police Department.

On Aug. 23, the Persinger allegedly took over $250 worth of merchandise from the Mansfield Kohl's. Police say she spent an hour walking around the store, stuffing various items into her shirt and backpack. When she was confronted by loss prevention, she dropped some of the items and fled on a pink and white motorcycle.

She was nicknamed the "Daisy Duke" shoplifter because she was seen on camera wearing a pink shirt and Daisy Duke-style blue shorts. When she fled, she put on a pink and white motorcycle helmet.

Police say the case took about a week to solve, with many tips coming thanks to their social media post.
