Mansfield Police Log: Disorderly Conduct, Shoplifting, and More

August 29

3:05 p.m. - Police received a report of a shoplifter at Kohl’s at Mansfield Crossing. The suspect, Chad Gomes, 31, of Cumberland, R.I., was arrested and charged with shoplifting by asportation (second offense), vandalizing property, and on a court warrant.

August 30

9:49 p.m. - During a traffic stop near Geno’s Cafe on North Main Street, Scott Verrier, 26, of Brockton, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

August 31

1:05 p.m. - A 26-year-old from Madison, Ala. was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery on a family/household member.

9:10 p.m. - After a fight was reported at Fulton’s Pond on Rumford Avenue, Christopher Metrano, 39, of Mansfield, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

September 2

8:52 a.m. - James Vaughn, 35, of Mansfield was arrested at Family Food Mart on East Street on a warrant.

9:31 a.m. - A 27-year-old from Norfolk received a summons for assault on a family/household member and a 20-year-old from Boston received a summons for assault and battery on a family/household member.
