Mansfield Police Log: Stolen Basketball Hoop, Disorderly Conduct, and More

September 7

1:22 a.m. - A 47-year-old from Mansfield was arrested and charged with assault and battery on family or household member.

5:47 a.m. - A 39-year-old from Mansfield received a summons for violating an abuse prevention order.

September 8

9:32 a.m. - A stolen basketball hoop was reported on Essex Street.

7:57 p.m. - Bristol Liquors reported a shoplifting incident that just took place. After looking at surveillance video, police were able to located a suspect allegedly consuming alcohol in a backyard on Lawndale Road. The man, Craig Heelan, 19, of Plainville, was arrested and charged with shoplifting by asportation and underage posession of liquor.

September 9

The following is a summary of people taken into custody during the Oddball Comedy Tour at the Xfinity Center:

• A 41-year-old from Squantum received a summons for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and three counts of assault and battery on a police officer.

1:05 a.m. - During a traffic stop on Copeland Drive, a 29-year-old woman from Pawtucket, R.I. received a summons for operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration.

1:38 a.m. - During a traffic stop at the intersection of Chauncy Street and Route 140, a 24-year-old woman from Providence, R.I. received a summons for operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
