Mansfield Police Searching for Liquor Store Thief

Police say a man stole $500 in bottles from Bristol Liquors over the course of two incidents.

MANSFIELD, MA — It started on New Year's Eve and two weeks later, someone has managed to take $500 in stolen merchandise from Bristol Liquors in Mansfield.

A somewhat humorous description of what happened on the Mansfield Police Department Facebook page details a man who drove his Pontiac to the store on the last day of the year and took bottles of Johnny Walker Black, Hennessy V.S.O.P., and Grey Goose on clearance. Police say the man returned to the store two weeks later in the same sweatshirt and took two more bottles of Hennessy.

Police say the suspect's vehicle is a 1999-2002 red Pontiac Grand Am with a back bumper and fenders that appear to be spray painted.
