Mansfield Police Update: Officers Make 42 Arrests Last Week
The Mansfield Police Department has released their weekly statistics update.

MANSFIELD, MA — In the past week, the Mansfield Police Department responded to 435 calls for service, a 20 percent decrease from the prior week. Officers responded to five 911 hang-ups, 45 medical calls, and 16 alarms, eight of which were commercial and eight were residential. Officers conducted 56 motor vehicle stops, 64 percent of which were written warnings or civil citations, and 36 percent were verbal warnings.
Mansfield police made 42 arrests this week; 50 percent of which were on-site arrests, 36 percent were summons, and 14 percent were warrant arrests. Thirty-two of the arrests were non-residents, nine were residents, and one was unknown.

In addition to the arrest reports written, officers wrote 17 reports this week. The arrest and incident reports include but are not limited to vehicle break-ins, larceny, assault, operating under the influence, vehicle theft, harassment, disorderly conduct, and assault and battery on a police officer
Officers responded to 15 accidents in the past week week. Fifty-three percent of the accidents occurred on Wednesday or Friday and 40 percent of the accidents occurred between 2-4 p.m.
