Mansfield Police Weekly Crime Summary: 27 Arrests, 404 Calls

MANSFIELD, MA — The Mansfield Police Department responded to 404 calls for service, a 1 percent increase from the prior week (one more day). Officers responded to nine 911 hang-ups, 55 medical calls, and 20 alarms, 14 of which were commercial and four were residential. Officers conducted 61 motor vehicle stops, 66 percent of which were written warnings or civil citations, and 34 percent were verbal warnings.

Mansfield Police Department made 27 arrests this week; 59 percent of which were on-site arrests, 22 percent were summons, and 19 percent were warrant arrests. Twenty-five of the arrests were non-residents, and two were residents. Thirty-seven percent of the arrests occurred on Thursday and 22 percent occurred on Sunday.

In addition to the arrest reports written, officers wrote 22 reports this week. The arrest and incident reports include but are not limited to assault and battery with a deadly weapon, shoplifting, disorderly conduct, operating under the influence of liquor, assault and battery, open and gross lewdness, suspicious activity, larceny, forgery, and hit and run.

Officers responded to 12 accidents this week. Sixty-seven percent of the accidents occurred on Thursday and Tuesday, each with four. Forty-two percent of the accidents occurred between 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. on a Tuesday or Thursday.
