Mansfield Receives Highest Award For Financial Reporting

MANSFIELD, MA — For the second year in a row, the town has received the highest form of recognition in the field of governmental accounting and financial reporting.

Earlier this month, Mansfield was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United State and Canada.

According to a press release, the award is judged by an impartial panel to meet the standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the comprehensive annual financial report.
