Mansfield Schedules Temporary Shutdown Of Water Service This Week

MANSFIELD, MA — Water service to will be temporarily turned off near Forbes Boulevard and Chauncey Street between midnight and 4 a.m., Thursday, the Mansfield Water Division said.

The reason for the shutoff is to install a new water gate valve at the corner of those streets, Mansfield police announced Tuesday. If you work overnight or in the early morning, plan accordingly so the shutoff doesn't interfere with you getting ready.

After the installation is complete, its possible there may be some discoloration to the water or air in the line. If this happens, run the water until its clear and air is removed.
