Mansfield School Committee to Vote on New Superintendent on Thursday
The meeting will take place at Mansfield Town Hall at 7 p.m.

The school committee will vote on Thursday night on whether Interim Superintendent Zeffro Gianetti will take the role on a permanent basis.
According to the committee’s agenda for their meeting on Nov. 20, Gianetti will be interviewed with a vote to be taken later that evening.
Gianetti is the only finalist for the position. Of the 20 applicants, two were selected as finalists.

If approved by the school committee, Gianetti will replace Brenda Hodges, who resigned from the position earlier this year after she was accused of plagiarizing portions of her speech at the Mansfield High School graduation ceremony.
Hodges is scheduled to retire on June 30, 2015 and is currently on leave to deal with an undisclosed medical issue.
