Mansfield Schools Superintendent Announces Retirement
Superintendent Zeffro Gianetti will retire at the end of the current school year.

MANSFIELD, MA — After 34 years in public education and six in Mansfield, Superintendent Zeffro Gianetti is ready for retirement.
Mansfield School Committee Chairperson Kiera O'Neal said Gianetti notified the Mansfield School Committee Friday of his intention to retire at the end of this school year.
“I’m going to continue to work hard for our students and for this community. I’m not out the door yet,” Gianetti said in a statement.

Gianetti started in Mansfield as the principal of the Qualters Middle School. He was named the superintendent in 2014 after briefly serving as the interim superintendent.
“Zeff has done an amazing job for us as superintendent over the past couple of years,” O’Neil said. “He has built tremendous relationships within the town, is highly respected among our teachers, administrators and other leaders, and we are sad to see him go.”

The school committee is scheduled to discuss the process to find the next superintendent at their Oct. 4. meeting.
