Mansfield Store Targeted For Fraud Scam: Cops

MANSFIELD, MA — A Pawtucket man faces charges after allegedly attempting to obtain a package at Best Buy in Mansfield with a false name.

Dennis Odom, 20, was arrested Dec. 13 and charged with conspiracy and receiving stolen property according to the Mansfield Police Log.

At about 5:34 p.m., a caller at the store told police that a person, identified as Odom, attempted to pick up a package with a name that was not his.

During an investigation, police allegedly found a laptop, four iPhone cases, and $1,500 in gift cards, according to the Sun Chronicle.

Prior to his arraignment, Odon was ordered held on $1,040 cash bail.
