Mansfield Train Station Most Used in Southeastern Mass.

MANSFIELD, MA — If space at the Mansfield train station feels like it's at a premium, that's because it's quite busy.

MBTA ridership counts from April has the station as the busiest in Southeastern Massachusetts, transporting an average 2,077 riders a day. As a town, Attleboro has more riders, with a combined 3,143 across the Attleboro and South Attleboro stops.

Due to the high counts, Town Manager Bill Ross mentioned during Wednesday's selectmen meeting that a parking deck may be needed, according to the Sun Chronicle. Don't expect that in the near future though, Ross said the town would need help if they were to move ahead with a project of that size.
