Mansfield Train Victim Identified as Rhode Island Man
A 36-year-old East Providence man was fatally hit by a train in Mansfield Thursday.
The name of a man who was struck and killed by an Amtrak train in Mansfield Thursday morning has been released.
The Sun Chronicle reports that the man was Matthew Cochran, 36, of East Providence.
Cochran was killed when he was hit by a train while on tracks south of the Mansfield MBTA station around 10:50 a.m. Thursday. The crash caused long delays for the Providence/Stoughton line and other trains that use the line.

No foul play is suspected, but the accident remains under investigation.
