Mansfield VFW Hall Shuts Down
The veterans group will now meet at the Mansfield Elks Lodge

Amid declining membership and finances, the Mansfield VFW hall has been sold by the organization.
The Sun Chronicle reports that the VFW Post 3264 has agreed to sell their bar and will exchange papers with developer Chris Cunningham on Nov. 26.
Commander Dick Swanbeck said that the post has 57 members which is down from year’s past.

While the building is gone, the post is not. The members of the VFW will meet at the Mansfield Elks Lodge.
The decline of members for local veterans group appears to be a merging trend in the area. In Norton, the American Legion Post 222 lost their hall and now meet at the Norton VFW.

In Sharon, the American Legion has about 280 members while the VFW has 29.
